Tamoxifen tablets, sold under the brand names Nolvadex and Soltamox, are a selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM) used to treat breast cancer in postmenopausal women. The drug's main active ingredient is tamoxifen citrate. It is a mixture of two drugs: tamoxifen and Nolvadex. The drug is used in the treatment of breast cancer in postmenopausal women.
Uses
Tamoxifen is indicated for the treatment of early-stage breast cancer. It is also indicated to treat advanced breast cancer in postmenopausal women.
How to use
Tamoxifen should be taken before meals and on an empty stomach for best results. Swallow the tablet with a full glass of water. Do not crush, chew, or open the tablet, as the tablet will reduce the amount of drug absorbed by the body.
